Day 365!!!

Well... 365 days later! And the blog comes to a close. To be honest I never thought I'd get this far. It's been a lot of fun with it's fair share of early morning sunrises and last minute dashes to the computer to post. In hindsight It probably wasn't one of my most inspired ideas to do something like this in the year I decide to organize a wedding, but it's been an absolute blast none the less.

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who's supported me along the way. It's those passing comments about the blog every-time we catchup that kept me posting.

Our last morning at Port Macquarie before we head inland for a couple of days at the Hunter Valley. Thought I'd try and squeeze one more beach sunrise onto the blog while I had the chance. Didn't exactly get the light-show I was hoping for so I decided to try something a little different, and as a bonus, I managed not to get my camera wet!

Michelle and I are having a couple of days at Port Macquarie as we meander our way back down the coast to Sydney. My brother just bought a house so have spent the last day kicking round the house renovating. Managed to sneak out and take a walk along the beach up to the lighthouse and take this shot.

Friday marked the end on an era with the family shop shutting it's doors for the final time. The Inverell sports store was opened in October of 1959 by my grandfather (below right) and his business partner, with dad working there for the last 45 years. Many great memories along the way but now it's time to move on.

I picked this cool little statue up in Mexico. It's made from Obsidian, a naturally forming volcanic glass that appears black until taken into the light and then it glistens a metallic gold. Amazing stuff!

Meandering through New York is a total buzz. One is bound to find something fascinating on every corner and there is a rare pleasure associated with being lost amongst the forest of skyscrapers. If you're willing to put in the hard yards by foot, you'll come across sights and experiences unlike anywhere else.
